Frieda's landscape and abstract paintings feature beautiful complementary colours, and dramatic contrasts between light and dark.  It is Frieda's goal to create art that stirs the  imagination, fosters memory  and arouses emotion.

Inspiration comes from her love of the outdoors, and the beauty surrounding her rural home.  Frieda is an avid photographer continually searching for interesting landscapes, and other unusual images.   Her photographs provide the basis for unique artistic compositions.  Her paintings are completed in acrylic and oil paints on canvas and wood boards.

Frieda is a self-taught artist.  She has taken several art and painting workshops over the past 5 years both on-line and in person.

 

Frieda is a member of the Quest Art School + Gallery and The Barrie Art Club where she regularly displays her painting in their galleries.   

​

Frieda earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business and became a Chartered Professional Accountant.   Her formal business training and her methodical, detailed mind is reflected in her art.  A planned and meticulous approach is evident in many of her paintings.
